About the Study

THRIVE is a research program conducted by the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Massey Cancer Center. We are asking cancer survivors to take surveys to assist the Massey Cancer Center in better understanding cancer survivorship and inform cancer prevention and cancer treatment efforts.

We aim to better understand the genetic, biological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to cancer survivorship experiences.

Joining the Study

Who is eligible to join the THRIVE study?

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • Are age 18 or older
  • Have been diagnosed with cancer (i.e., breast, colon/colorectal, lung, head and neck, prostate, cervical, ovarian)
  • Received your primary cancer diagnosis within the past 5 years

Participation is free and open to people of every race, ethnicity, sex, gender, and sexual orientation.

 

Why should I join?

THRIVE is a program that surveys cancer survivors across time to examine the factors that contribute to health and well-being. Participating in THRIVE will help us better understand the diverse experiences of those who have been recently diagnosed with cancer. This information will be used to develop future cancer-related health care practices.

 

How can I join?

Take the THRIVE survey! Here’s how to get started:

  1. Register online, or download the app for iPhone or Android.

  2. Create an account.

  3. Complete the surveys!

 

What is involved?

The research program is run by researchers from VCU’s Massey Cancer Center.
